About Santa Rosa Quilt Guild

The Santa Rosa Quilt Guild is dedicated to preserving this country’s quilting heritage through the education and enhancement of quilt-making skills. Our members have a love of quilting and all things quilt-related and welcome those who have similar interests. Since 1976 our membership has increased from a small group of founding members to over 260 and still growing!

The guild is known for its acts of community service.  The guild donated over 950 quilts to 17 organizations in 2024. These included over 200 baby quilts to Neonatal Units at three local hospitals, 100 quilts to Valley of the Moon to give to children who will be placed in foster care and 300 quilts to Veterans in Sonoma County. 195 doll quilts were given to 5 different organizations to be given out at Christmas For example, members give approximately 400 quilts to veterans each year.   Making one quilt requires up to ten hours of work from start to finish.  Grandma will be displaying some of those prized quilts as guests pass through the rooms of her home.
